Training Session and Facilitator's Guide
In my professional communication course, we were divided into groups of five students and tasked with the creation of a 55-minute training session. The additional deliverable to the presentation was a facilitator’s guide that includes instructions for running the training session and all necessary handouts, worksheets, and information. Our group’s topic was Practice What You Post: Establishing Your Social Media Brand. Upon completion of these materials, our group presented the training session to our classmates.

The presentation was successful, and my professor actually continues to use our facilitator guide and presentation as an example for her current classes. This was a wonderful learning experience between we started at a simple topic, designed activities that related to the topic, built a program around it, and then communicated the value of the skill through a training session to our classmates. I learned so much from this experience – from teamwork skills, workshop design, program implementation, and professional communication skills.
